Summer Picnic is August 22, 4 p.m., Lyme Public Hall

Mark your calendars, dust off your lawn chairs, and prepare your appetite — the Lyme-Old Lyme DTC Summer Picnic is back, and it’s ready to out-do itself once again!

Join us Saturday, August 22, from 4:00–6:00 p.m., at the Lyme Public Hall (249 Hamburg Road) for an afternoon of great food, great company, and great conversation with your fellow Democrats — no politics degree required, just an appetite for good times (and probably potato salad).

This isn’t just any picnic. It’s *the* picnic. Last year, we welcomed Senator Richard Blumenthal and State Senator Norm Needleman — and this year, Connecticut State Treasurer Erick Russell has already committed to joining us!

Other key figures and politicians are expected to confirm over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned — the guest list is only getting better.

Beyond the star power, this is your chance to catch up with neighbors, meet fellow local Democrats, and show your support for the town committees working hard right here at home.

The details:

Park at the Lyme Congregational Church or the Subaru dealership lot — just $10, benefiting the church and local Boy Scouts — then stroll on over.
