The 2024 Annual Summer Picnic of the Lyme and Old Lyme Democratic Town Committees will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Lyme Public Hall – very close to the Hamburg Fair. All area Democrats are invited to attend. Democratic officials at the national, state and local level have been invited. Last year, Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congressman Joe Courtney and Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz were the special guests. In addition to enjoying a host of picnic goodies, the event is a great opportunity to mingle with friends and neighbors, and support the two local Democratic Town Committees.
