LDTC Calls for Senators To Take Action on Guns

The Lyme Democratic Town Committee today urgently called on Connecticut Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal, as well as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, to bring forward federal gun legislation in the U.S. Senate that would help stop the ongoing plague of gun violence killing children and adults in communities across this country – noting that the legislation has been languishing in the Senate since being passed by the U.S. House of Representatives.  The committee commended Senator Murphy for his comments yesterday on the Senate floor urging his fellow senators to take action, and expressed its hope that enough U.S. senators would stand up for Americans and work to put an end to mass shootings.
