On Friday, June 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Democratic Town Committees (DTCs) of Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook will hold a fund-raising reception to re-elect Congressman Joe Courtney this November.
The reception is being hosted by Lyndon Haviland, Penny Smyth, John Kiker and the four DTCs at 325 Grassy Hill Road in Lyme. Full details can be found by clicking the link above.
Joe Courtney has worked tirelessly for the people of Southeastern Connecticut. In this year alone, his efforts have:
- Provided new Covid-relief funding for small businesses left out of previous pandemic assistance
- Bolstered our local economy with a historic amount of U.S. Navy shipbuilding and submarine construction
- Increased financial assistance to homeowners coping with crumbling concrete foundations
- Secured new federal funding for help protect and restore the environment
These accomplishments are on top of his ongoing efforts to lower Medicare Part B costs for seniors, support the health and well-being of our veterans, strengthen workforce development in our region and fight for other local priorities.
Local Democrats who are unable to attend the fund-raising reception, but would still like to contribute to Courtney’s re-election, can do so here.
