Lyme DTC Seeks Registered Dems To Serve on Town Boards & Commissions

The Lyme Democratic Town Committee (LDTC) is seeking registered Democrats who would like to serve on boards and commissions for the Town of Lyme.

No matter where your expertise and interests lie, or how much or how little time you have to share, there’s a way you can volunteer to help our Town.

Most positions require only a small time commitment; a few are more time intensive.

Most volunteers are appointed to positions by the Board of Selectmen; a few are elected in municipal elections.

When positions become available, the LDTC can propose potential members for the Board of Selectmen to consider or – for the positions filled by election – support a qualified candidate’s run for office.

The boards and commissions that sometimes find themselves in need of volunteer members include the:

  • Affordable Housing Commission
  • Board of Finance
  • Conservation Commission
  • Parks & Recreation Commission
  • Planning & Zoning Commission
  • Zoning Board of Appeals

Serving on a board or commission is a great way to give back to the Town that we all live in and love.

If you are interested in potentially serving, or would like more information, we would like to meet you. Please send an email to John Kiker at
